Literacy

We work with students to build confidence, resilience and improvement in literacy and numeracy skills. We focus on developing, improving and consolidating the basic skills of comprehension, grammar, reading and spelling using phonics as well as basic numeracy manipulation skills and worded problem application.

Numeracy

We offer an initial literacy or numeracy assessment to identify areas for development or extension.  In the weekly session tutors engage in age appropriate learning and extension strategies as well as building life skills to create resilience and confidence especially for test conditions such as Naplan. Each session is supported by our homework programme. Parents are provided with timely feedback after each tutoring session.

English

Mathematics

Tutors focus on developing, improving and consolidating the basic skills of comprehension, grammar, reading, spelling, essay writing and achieving proficiency in basic numeracy manipulation skills and worded problem application. We also focus on handwriting and creative writing for humanities as well as how to prepare and write science practical reports.

Science

In the weekly session tutors engage in age appropriate learning strategies as well as building life skills to create resilience and confidence especially for test conditions such as Naplan and examinations. Homework is set if deemed beneficial and parents are provided with timely feedback after each tutoring session.
